April 3 Kingston’s Spring Egg Hunt  12:30pm  Forsyth Nature Center
Join the Junior League of Kingston and the Forsyth Nature Center for their Annual Spring Egg Hunt in Forsyth Park. This family friendly activity is free and is open to everyone. This event is weather permitting. Appropriate for preschool through 5th Grade. 845-331-1682, ext 7339

April 10 Tyke Hike    2:00pm    Onteora Lake
Children up to 5 years of age and parents will meet with a naturalist for a leisurely stroll/hike to explore nature using our senses. Programs last one hour. Free. 845-331-1682, ext 7339.

April 13 Adult Nature Walks  8:30am   Forsyth Nature Center
This bi-monthly program visits some of the best walking/hiking locations in the Mid-Hudson Valley. This program is geared toward adults and is free. Transportation is provided. These walks are 2-3 miles and weather permitting. 845-331-1682, ext 7336.

April 22 Celebrate Earth Day with Karen Pillsworth  4:00pm  Forsyth Nature Center
The Forsyth Nature Center will celebrate Earth Day this year with Karen Pillsworth, Kingston's Storyteller Laureate. Karen's vibrant and energetic telling of stories for the earth will inspire audiences of all ages. All participants will receive an Earth Day gift of a tree sapling donated by the Friends of Forsyth Nature Center.

April 24 Kingston Clean Sweep     9:00am     City Wide
Join the Friends of Historic Kingston with support from the City of Kingston and groups all over the city as we work to keep Kingston beautiful. Call for details! 845-331-1682, ext 7336.

April 27 Peacocks on Parade    3:30pm    Forsyth Nature Center
Visit the FNC and witness the Peacocks and their elaborate display of courtship. Learn about peafowl lifecycles and behaviors as we observe these beautiful birds! Free and open to all. 845-331-1682, ext 7339.

April 30 Kingston Arbor Day Celebration and Training 1:00pm Academy Green
Join the City of Kingston Parks and Recreation Department and a half dozen certified arborists as we celebrate Arbor Day at historic Academy Green in Kingston. This event will feature a variety of techniques used by certified arborists, while they donate their time to prune our beautiful trees. A tree will also be planted, while demonstrating proper planting techniques. Call 845-331-1682, ext 7336 for more information.
