The Forsyth Zoo has
been growing and changing for many years. When we realize our
vision, the community will benefit from two great facilities.
The Forsyth Park Zoo and new educational center combined will
be known as the “Forsyth Nature Center.”
At the educational center, we will create additional animal
pens with a more “hands on” approach for visitors.
This also will allow the animals currently housed at the Zoo
more exercise space and a fresh place to graze. |

Rose,
sensory, primeval, formal herb and woodland will make a variety
of theme gardens installed on the grounds. The gardens will
tie in nicely with the new educational center. A community
garden will be a hands-on project that local youths will be
involved in planting and cultivating. These gardens will include
vegetables and berry patches. Demonstration pens will show
a variety of programs such as honey collection, wool spinning,
maple syruping and compost production. |
