The Forsyth Nature Center is proud to offer environmental
education programs to Kingston City Schools Consolidated
students and students across the Hudson Valley. Our first
year of programming was a huge success, engaging students
from Sophie Finn, George Washington, Meagher, Edson, Zena
and John F. Kennedy Elementary Schools, as well as Marbletown
Elementary and Kingston High School. We have engaged children
from pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade in a variety of
programs and activities, from fishing to snowshoeing to animal
husbandry.

We work with all grade levels to provide relevant and interesting,
engaging educational programs. The second grade is an instrumental
time to explore the world of animals, their behaviors and habitats.
Our hands-on, interactive programs provide an exciting medium
for doing just that. The fourth grade is an instrumental time
to explore the history of the Hudson River and the Kingston
Parks System. Kingston Point Park provides an excellent locale
for these topics.
