January 12 Adult Nature Walks 8:30am Forsyth Nature Center. This bi-monthly program visits some of the best walking/hiking locations in the Mid-Hudson Valley. This program is geared toward adults and is free. Transportation is provided. These walks are 2-3 miles and weather permitting. To register call 845-331-1682, ext 132.

January 16 WinterFest at Hasbrouck Park 10:00am-2:00pm Hasbrouck Park
What a better way to get outdoors in the winter than to mulch your Christmas tree, learn to snowshoe and make snow animals! Bring your undecorated tree and a bag for your mulch! Call for more information. Free. To register call 845-331-1682, ext 132.

January 16 DEC Waterfowl Count 9:00am Forsyth Nature Center. An important count conducted by the NYS Ornithological Association and Department of Environmental Conservation to help in population management of Atlantic Flyway waterfowl. Loons, Grebes, and Bald Eagles are also tallied. This program is free. Transportation is included. To register call 845-331-1682, ext 117.

January 23 Hudson River Snowshoe Hike 10:00am Kingston Point Park. Come explore historic Kingston Point Park on snowshoes. These programs are designed for beginner snowshoers. A naturalist will teach proper techniques, point out animal tracks and discuss winter on the Hudson River. Programs last one hour. Snow Permitting. Free. To register call 845-331-1682, ext 132.

January 23 Owl Prowl 2:00pm Forsyth Nature Center. Shawangunk Grassland NWR in Galeville is a great place to spot Short-Eared Owls and other wintering grassland species. Dress warmly . Kingston residents $5, non-residents $7. Transportation provided. To register call 845-331-1682, ext 132.
