Junior Naturalist Program
Registration begins April 28
One and Two Week sessions begin June 30th
This program offers youth K-9th grade a chance to spend part of there summer
hiking, fishing, kayaking, learning about animals and many other exciting activities.

Join birder Mark DeDea as he leads these Sunday Morning walks.
Please meet at the location. For directions, call the Nature
Center . Free. Binoculars and boots a must!

Join our weekly hiking group where we visit some of the best
walking/hiking locations in the Mid-Hudson Valley. This program
is geared for Adults and is free. Transportation provided. This

Nature Center
Let’s Talk Turtles! This informal program will feature
local and non-native turtle species. Learn about their lifecycles
and habitats as we observe their behavior. Free and open to all.

Maritime Museum
Join us for a sunset paddle on the Rondout Creek! This program
will launch from the Hudson River Maritime Museum. The museum
is located in the heart of downtown Kingston, along the Rondout.
This trip will explore the wildlife and explore its history!
$20 for Kingston residents, $25 for non-residents. Fee includes
tour, kayak and pfd.

Point Beach
Spend your morning paddling the Hudson River. Wildlife abounds
during these paddles. Eagles, osprey and turtles keep the group
fascinated! $20 for Kingston residents, $25 for non-residents.
Call for reservations! Includes tour, kayak and pfd. Great for
beginners and nature enthusiasts.

River Sunset Paddle 6:00pm Kingston
Point Beach
View sunsets and wildlife on this tour. This program is great
for those looking to get there feet wet and enjoy the river at
its best! $20 for Kingston residents, $25 for non-residents.

Nature Center
A glacial pond and floating bog as well as a large number of
birds are just a few reasons why you should visit this Nature
Conservancy Property in Delaware County. Transportation will
be provided from the FNC. $5 for Kingston residents, $7 for non-residents.

The Hudson River’s largest Kayak Festival can be found
right here in Kingston! Join Kenco and the City of Kingston
for this exciting event which is sure to prepare you for a summer

looking for Beavers, Bats, Owls, Rabbits and many other nocturnal
animals. Great for everyone. $5. Refreshments provided. Please

Center
Investigate the living community in the pond at the Forsyth Nature
Center. Frogs, turtles, invertebrates, aquatic plants and other

you to our Apiary (Beehive) at the FNC. This program will be

Kayaking under the Moonlight is an amazing experience. This program
will let you explore Kingston Point Park on a Kayak. All of your
equipment is provided, all you need to do is bring a flashlight

residents.

Children up to 5 years of age and parents will meet with a naturalist
for a leisurely stroll/hike to explore nature through a child’s
